Thank you so much!! I'm so glad that you're continuing to enjoy this and you feel I've captured Vaysh's character. I do feel I'm plumbing the depths of his darker emotions, but he is a damaged, cautious, brutalized, but also (I firmly believe!!) tender-hearted har; he's just been through so much. It was hard to evoke his conflicting feelings of sensing such kinship with Pellaz, but hating him as well. He is pretty cruel to Pell in some ways, but then Pell becomes one of his only confidantes- that Pell knows about. ;)
