Yes, you've captured some of Cal's essence, lol. Poor Swift, indeed! But he does seem to have held his own in some ways, and frankly, between Cal and then that Night Of Pleasure with Caeru, well, Seel probably was quite grateful. Then again, at least with the second trilogy, apparently Ashmael, the Talented Lover also had an affair with him and taught him stuff, so there y'go.
