- I need this inspiration like a hole in my head. And yet, I want to promote it, so I'm spreading the word. Here's commentary from Altariel:
majoritython: "To celebrate the possibility that (at long, long last) either a woman or a person of color will be the next American president by producing fanworks about people of color and women in positions of political power." This could include:
- Slash, het or gen fic about a woman and/or person of color in any fandom who holds elected or appointed civil office, or who governs or rules a country, planet or federation.
- RPF about a historical or contemporary person of color and/or woman who holds elected or appointed civil office, or who governs or rules a country or sovereign territory.
- Icons, graphics and vids about any of the above.
Brainstorming and signups are going on now; here's the FAQ. And please spread the word around your fandoms!
I have two words: Kingsley Shacklebolt.
She also mentioned Constance Markievicz, someone I'd never heard of. I now want to write historical fiction. This is both really cool, and also something I really Must. Not. Do. Right. Now. But when I go to Ireland next fall, which is part of my Grand Plan, I'll be going to places to do with her. Wow.

ooo. now if only throwing Harold Saxon into the mix were allowed and what a deliciously scary trio at 10 Downing Street we could have. . .

I have other characters demanding attention, and they're all male and Anglo Saxon in origin. :/
