Yeah, I'd had that scene of their prohibited procreation nearly from the beginning of when I started writing, just to twist the knife even more once Vaysh is brought back to life.

As for Thiede: I imagine that he really did want them to get their harish behinds to Immanion, and as we know, he did intend for Vaysh to be Tigron. What slays me (and I don't understand this at all) is that he doesn't seem even to apologize to Vaysh. He keeps Vaysh's re-creation a secret from Ashmael, and Ashmael turns his back on Vaysh, not Thiede! I'm going to have to post about this at raythoo, because I can't fathom Ashmael's thinking.
