Wow. Your detailed knowledge of the universe sparks so many happy reading memories for me. I had completely forgotten about Vaysh and Ashmael, and I agree that their story is a wonderful one to tell. There are incredible depths to plumb with both characters, although I suppose the damage ultimately sustained by Vaysh is what draws me to him the most.

The language you use and the imagery you paint here are breathtaking, and purely reminiscent of the books.
