I'm glad you like the H/R; I didn't think I could really write something as long as I knew this would be without Ron in it, somewhere! And my cross-referencing is now officially out of control. :sigh:
The scene with Dean absolutely falling apart came out of nowhere, and it remains one of my very favorite ones because it's so (hopefully!) raw and real seeming. I'd be far less gracious than Dean, I suspect, were I suddenly blinded.
Fred remains rather enigmatic, which worries me. But I'll keep writing until they all get together, because this really is my tour de force for what resonates so deeply within me. Since I'm the author, well, I get to allow Seamus his polyamory, but I'm unwilling for it to be at any one's expense in their trio.
I was recently writing another scene with dead!George. It was disturbing.
BTW, unrelated: Wolfie and I were talking about style and writing and he pointed me to your post about authorly feedback about style, and I wanted to let you know that I want to take my time replying to you about it, but I want to read "Of Blood and Dust and Potatoes" first. To be candid, I was so intimidated by the number of reviews you received for that story that I haven't read it yet. I'm going to print it out and take it with me on my trip this weekend, but don't be surprised if you get a card or letter from me with some thoughts about your style as an author. I just need to be sure I'm in a positive place about my own writing, because otherwise I get demoralized and begin the unhelpful process of comparing myself to everybody and coming up short!! :P
