it is because you do it well and genuinely care about what you are doing. Not every beta makes such a personal investment into their job. Plus you're so kind and generous with your own knowledge that it turns the editing experience into a chance to learn and grow rather than a chore.

I'm going to print this out on gorgeous paper and add it to my 'self-validating' comments to look at each day. Thank you so very much; you've written *exactly* what I've hoped to do as I beta, and I'm so humbled and grateful that you've felt such as we've worked together. I really do feel somewhat Dwarvish in my enterprise: this is wordcraft. It's sacred, this careful, joyous manipulation of words, as the Dwarves do with metal, gem and stone.
