I really love writing R/D; then again, almost all of my fics are set post-War and they're at least in their mid-to-late 20s, or 30s. I have an extended series, the Magic Immunity series; Ron's a Healer and Draco got a nasty curse while dueling a cousin over Manor issues, and that's what brings them together initially. It goes on (and on and on) from there. The George/Remus was for a fic exchange, otherwise I don't think I'd ever have thought of it. Took me a good 20 pages to get them together, again, post-War, so George has been profoundly affected while still being himself. But my R/D isn't hate-based, though obviously they had a lot to get through and continue to even though they're now handfasted, have adopted Percy's son (he was killed), and Snape, who has a kind of incurable palsy and is snarky and spiteful as ever— to Ron. He adores Draco and Xavier, Ron's nephew. Yeah, I'm pretty much a geek within my own universes. ;)
